  • Banana 4
  • Guava 2
  • Grapes 1 cup
  • Pineapple 1 cup
  • Apple 1 cup
  • Papaya 1 cup
  • Orange juice 1 glass
  • Black salt 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Caster sugar 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 4 tbsp

Method

1. In a bowl mix together orange juice, black salt, black pepper, caster sugar and lemon juice.

2. Add banana cut into slices, guava, grapes, pineapple chunks, apple and papaya cut into cubes.

3. Serve chilled.

  • Banana 4 -6 (cut into small pieces)
  • Guava 1 cup (cut into small pieces)
  • Pomegranate 1 cup
  • Orange 1 cup (small pieces)
  • Lemon juice 4 tbsp
  • Sweet lime (musami) 1 cup
  • Sugar syrup 1/2 cup
  • Chaat masala as required
  • Salt to taste

Method :

Ingredients for caramel:

  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Almond – 25g

To make caramel, cook sugar with almond till it turn in to golden colour and all the sugar melts. Then put this mixture in Greased oven pan, when it is cool and firm then crush it.

Ingredients for chaat:

  • Cold Cream – 2 packets 2 cup
  • Jelly – 1 packet
  • Grapes- 1 cup
  • Bananas – 4 cut in
  • Pineapple – 1 cup
  • Ground Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Mango – 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp

Method :

Beat cream, sugar and vanilla essence. Now cut all the fruits and add in cream mixture.

Then add jelly chunks, and garnish with caramel pieces and serve cold.

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 2 Guavas
  • 1 Peach
  • 1 Tangerine or Orange
  • A handful of Grapes
  • 1 Pomegranate (optional)
  • 3 to 4 tbsp Sugar
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder (Pisa Zeera)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder (Pisi Kaali Mirch)
  • A few drops of Lemon Juice or Orange Juice

Method :

In a large bowl, chop all fruit in small pieces. Add sugar, cumin powder, lemon or orange juice, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well.

Tip: Any preferred fruits can be used. Although this chaat is ideally made with the following fruits.

  • 2 tbsp fried almonds
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Method :

  • Heat 1 cup milk in a saucepan. When it begins to boil stir in half of the sugar. Continue stirring until the sugar dissolves
  • Dissolve 1tbsp gelatin powder in water .Stir in 2tbsp of the finely chopped fried almonds and 1 cup fruit cocktail. Refrigerate until set.
  • In a bowl whip the cream with the remaining sugar and 1/2tsp almond essence.
  • Prepare the pineapple jelly and refrigerate until set.
  • Top the set gelatin with the cream and pineapple jelly crystals
